The Waterless Tamarac® Test Kit
The Standard Tamarac® Medical Blood Lead Test Kit was envisioned for use when washing the patient’s hand prior to specimen collection is preferred. This kit contains lead-cleaning soap and towelettes, as well as all supplies necessary to clean and prepare the patient stick-site, perform the blood draw, obtain and package the specimen, and submit the specimen with required paperwork via U.S.P.S. first-class mail to the laboratory at no charge. Test kits are generally packaged in quantities of 40, but smaller or less-frequent submitters of blood lead tests, can opt for kit quantities of 10, 20, or 30. We recommend that established submitting clinics order a two to three months supply of kits.
The Waterless Tamarac® Medical Blood Lead Test Kit was envisioned for use in environments where washing the patient’s hand is impossible or impractical. It allows blood lead specimens to be collected virtually anywhere, and requires no access to running water. Because of the additional time saved during collection, many practitioners choose this kit even with access to running water. This kit includes waterless lead-cleaning soap and towelettes, as well as all supplies necessary to clean and prepare the patient stick-site, perform the blood draw, obtain and package the specimen, and submit the specimen with required paperwork via U.S.P.S. first-class mail to the laboratory at no charge.
